Upgraded from a GE 14 cubic foot freezer we've had for over 20 years (not frost free, basic upright freezer) that still works, just not large enough. As part of a kitchen remodel we decided to go with this 20 cubic foot, with the bonus of frost free AND garage capable. We always buy in bulk, portion out in vacuum sealed packs and freeze for later use. We set this freezer up and let it run for a day to stabilize then moved everything over. My wife was really happy with the way everything fit so she could see exactly what we have; the light was the icing on the cake!

I needed a new freezer since my current one was full and too small. Plus, my brother always tells me at Christmas, "I'll get you a small deer." Another reason I needed a larger freezer. Since space was an issue, I opted for a stand-up freezer. Once I moved the shelving to fit my frozen foods, I was ready for deer season. I also like the 'garage ready' and door alarm since this is in my garage. I love it!

Three weeks after purchase, Hurricane Helene interrupted power for 19 hours while I was traveling. This freezer permitted thawing of most contents while an older Frigidaire freezer and two refrigerators maintained temperatures well below zero. After paying a premium for this unit, I am disappointed in the lack of performance. As long as power is available, it is satisfactory for storage.

Wish it had a temp indicator on the exterior. I added an accurite model, and it appears to stay under 0 degrees F at the recommended setting on the dial inside the freezer. Has lots of room that's for sure.

Our very old commercial freezer decided to quit on us and we needed a similar replacement. I was worried that because this freezer was a bit smaller we wouldn't have enough space for all our consumables, but thankfully I was wrong. Not only is there enough space, but it's nice and bright and not so deep that I can't see what I have.

I've been using this Frigidaire freezer for a few weeks now, and I'm amazed at its ability to turn my food into frozen bricks. My ice cream is so hard, it's practically a weapon. I've even tried using it to chill my beer, but it turned into a solid block of hops and malt.The freezer itself is a beast. It's so spacious, I could probably fit a small family in there for a winter nap. This freezer is so nice. I love the way the inside of it is designed. It has molded in design to hold the wire racks This is much better than to have the ends of the rack fitting into a hole in the side of the freezer. I have plenty of room to hold everything. Lots space on the inside of the door to hold stuff. No defrosting is needed. Very conveniently designed. It has a green light in the bottom of the freezer that you can easily see when the door is closed. This will indicate whether or not the freezer is operating properly.

I have had my freezer for a week now. It is much larger than I thought it would be. We just lost power for 24 hours due to a hurricane. I was very concerned about losing everything. I made sure not to open the door while the power was off. Once the power was restored the green light came on without flashing letting me know the freezer held the temperature! Everything was frozen solid. No worries with a full freezer and no power for at least 24 hours. Glad I updated from my old freezer last week. I don't think it would have held the temperature.

We like the depth. You can see the items on the shelf and it is wide enough to hold a lot. Additionally, it has a lot of door shelves. It got cold very quickly and has a little LED at the bottom that shows you that it has power. Overall great freezer. The only change I would recommend would be to put an LED light strip on the inside of the freezer, running just in front of the shelves so the whole interior is lit up.

I run several upright manual defrost freezers in addition to this new Frost-Free unit. I run bluetooth thermometers to monitor all of my freezers. and do see that t during the defrost cycle in the FrostFree, (1-2x per day), there is a spike of ~20 deg.F that is quite short. The sensor is located in the top of the freezer. I believe this is consistent with most frost-free units. Overall quite happy with initial performance (one-month +/-)
